HPT

13.0 Charges and Manner of Collection:

13.1Electric Power Generation:

The Company will provide Operators with all electricity necessary for propulsion of Grid Vehicles and electronic functions. The Company expects to invest in new energy technologies and, eventually, maintain its own power generation facilities for the production of electrical Grid energy.

13.2Location and Tracking:

Much like “Speed Pass” or similar electronic toll packages, a transponder permanently installed on the underside of a Hybrid PT compliant vehicle will discretely allow law enforcement personnel access to secure information regarding who goes where and when. A parent with a discrete code could monitor the progress of a child driving on the Grid.

13.3Billing:

Each month, the central Grid office will calculate miles driven, the charge for each mile (based on land costs and other variables), and charge each user’s account or credit balance. Distribution of those fees will be made to Operators after Operator franchise fees have been discounted.

13.4Lower Overall Transportation Costs:

As there is no fuel cost associated with miles traveled on the Grid, individual users will find that Grid charges are roughly equal to the cost of fuel they would otherwise need. Per mile, non-fuel, direct costs of Grid transit will be less than the same costs on typical highways by as much as Ten (10), percent. Even with tolls, Grid use will be less expensive than regular road travel while safer and faster.
